Hello there, and welcome to my personal blog. I’m James, James Warren from Luton, UK. You might have heard about Luton on the count of the fact that we have an airport here. It’s a pretty big one, I think by the latest stats, it’s the 5th largest airport in the UK. Reason for me mentioning Luton is that I worked there, pretty much my entire life. At the airport I worked as an airplane mechanic.
Since 2016 I’ve been in a retirement and I’ve been spending my time playing with various gadgets and learning new things. This website is a retirement project of mine that’s been an active effort of mine for a week or two now. I’ve been using the internet and videos on YouTube to learn how to setup a website, and I have to say that it doesn’t look that bad for a first timer.
Now that I have the website up and running, I think I’ll use Reco-Prop.com as my online journal, as a place to document all the various projects and activities that I do on a daily basis. Oh, by the way, while we’re on the subject of Reco-Prop, if you’re wondering what Reco-Prop means, it’s stands for Reconnaissance Propellers, at least that’s what I told myself it means, 🙂 . It’s sort of an homage to my previous job, and my current hobby of playing with various RC flying things. It’s an odd name for a website, and to be honest I didn’t think of it. The website where I registered the domain offered it to me.
Sadly my wife Sophie passed away awhile ago, so I spend a lot of time with my hobbies, to keep myself busy. This means that you can expect frequent updates from me on my numerous undertakings.
